Hi! I’m Bridgette,
A personal training & health coach.
I believe personal training should be just that, personal. Individuals have different, goals, needs and body types. My programs are tailored to fit your personal goals and needs. This is not a cookie cutter program. I guide clients through personalized workouts while providing safety and knowledge about exercise.
As a health coach, I assist clients in gaining a better understanding of themselves though nutrition and personal development. With a holistic approach, I support them in meeting their wellness goals while creating a ripple effect in the household.
My fitness journey began in 2004 in Gulfport, MS, when I started managing a gym. I started strength training and fell in love with it. I wish I had found it sooner. After Hurricane Katrina, I moved to Mandeville, LA where I met my guru and pursued a career in personal training. I immediately fell in love with helping people. I enjoy watching others find strength inside of themselves that they never knew they possessed and the excitement of watching them meet their goals.
However during this time I was personally spiraling out of control and losing sight of any goal that I had created. I was caught in the depths of soul numbing addiction. In 2013, I'd fought long enough and this is when my evolution began. Addiction may have brought me to Clarksdale but recovery has kept me here.
I started to to establish goals again and wanted to recreate the life I'd given away to substances years before. I started eating healthy and incorporating healthy movement into my life again. I knew what I needed to do, I just had to put action behind the knowledge. I returned to school to finish my education in exercise science. I'm currently working on a bachelors in nutrition and dietetics. In May, I completed a health coaching certification through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
I'm excited to give back to a community that has given so much. My struggles have been assets to my journey and others. This life has taught me to meet people where they are on their journey in life. It's taught me to listen and be present. I'm not ashamed of where I have been, I own my truth. It's important that I remember where I came home, so I recognize where I am and where I want to go.
